- Take 1 can abalone
- Take abalone brine
- Prepare 150 g spinach
- Make ready 120 ml chicken broth
- Prepare 2 tbspn oyster sauce
- Take 3/4 tbspn potato or corn starch
- Make ready 2 cloves garlic

Instructions to make Abalone with spinach:
- Wash the spinach and cut them into 3 inches long each
- Mince the garlic and set them aside
- Boil water to blanch the stalk for 2 mins and the leaves for 1min
- Remove the spinach and plate them in the middle of the plate
- Heat the abalone and the brine
- Remove the abalone to slice, then plate them around the spinach
- Add chicken stock, garlic, oyster sauce and starch to the brine and continue heating for 1-2 more minutes
- Pour the sauce onto the abalone and spinach
- The dish is now ready to be served!!
Bring to boil and thicken with cornstarch solution. Chinese Spinach with Baby Abalone Recipe In place of baby abalone, you can also use one or more of the following: sliced abalone, canned pacific or razor clams, limpets and broccoli. In place of phuay leng, you can use local sharp or round spinach too - Snap the stems to shorter lengths, pulling to discard the "strings" before cooking. To this day, spinach is still the most commonly cooked vegetable in my household. Adding abalone elevates the vegetable dish to another level and this is an ideal dish for occasions like the coming Chinese New Year.
